the problem it solves
Every git hook manager worth using wanted a second runtime installed: husky needs Node, lefthook needs a Go binary. A Dart team already has Dart. So this is written in it, with no external dependencies at all.

how it works
Configured from a YAML file in the project root, the same shape commitguard later took for Node. Hooks run sequentially or in parallel, can be filtered by glob, and can be limited to staged files only.
Conventional Commits validation is built in rather than delegated, which is what makes the commit-msg hook useful on day one.
